Looking ahead to Tramway’s What Next event , 21st- 22nd September, 2016.
Unlimited Impact have always been passionate about supporting emerging disabled creatives to push boundaries, ask questions and take action.
So when Tramway associate producer, Kim Simpson (a role supported by Unlimited Impact) announced her specially curated What? Events , a series of events, conversations & actions exploring what Tramway’s Unlimited is, we knew it would be a provocative and informative programme.
As well as a whole series of events complimenting the main Tramway Unlimited festival programme, Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd September will be an exciting opportunity for the emerging talent to set the agenda, a chance for frank, informal discussion and to offer your perspectives as an up and coming voice in the cultural sector.
We think it’s a great chance to talk in supportive and creative environment, get things off your chest and reboot your ambitions. See you there!
The definition of an emerging artist can sometimes be a rigid and unhelpful one, Kate Lovell’s recent article for our media partner Disability Arts Online asks if it’s time for that to change. Unlimited recognise the barriers faced by emerging disabled artists and feel it’s important that emerging is not categorised by age. This approach informs our new offer in our upcoming commission callout. Find more information here.
