Could you be our next Trainee?

With under a week to go until the applications deadline for our next Unlimited Impact Traineeship, we thought we’d take look at this great opportunity and explore why it is such an important role within the team.

We are looking to transform the cultural sector and ensure disabled artists are equally represented across artforms. To do this we need not only great artists but also great arts professionals (previous blogs of ours have asked ‘where are all the disabled producers?’). This annual training opportunity seeks to address this imbalance and, we hope, pave the way for the next generation of arts leaders.

The traineeship offers a unique insight into the Unlimited Commissioning programme. Supported by the teams at Shape and Artsadmin, it provides hands on, practical experience of delivering a new round of large-scale artists’ commissions during our most ambitious round to date! Here’s what our last trainee had to say about his role on Unlimited…

If you are an emerging disabled artist or arts professional looking to develop your career, build your skills and networks we want to hear from you! The deadline for applications is 12 noon on 24 April, and you can find full information and “how to apply” on the Shape Arts website.
